These bowls are hand thrown on the pottery wheel in 100% wild Waiheke uku (clay) from Te Huruhi Bay, Waiheke Island, Ngāti Paoa whenua.
These are a large, high profile, traditional style tea bowl. Once thrown they are hand warped and carved with a high footing. They have been glazed in our bespoke Pouriuri glaze, a satin Dark green glaze, and double dipped in our signature style. These are made wabisabi making each piece perfectly unique and quirky.
They are around 8.5cm tall and 12.5cm wide.
There are only a handful of these.
10% of all wild uku sales will be donated to Piritahi Marae here on Waiheke, Ngāti Paoa whenua.
